I have never studied Italian before… Is this course for me?
I do not recommend this course to those who have never studied Italian before simply because you haven’t had the chance to make any Italian errors yet.
When does the course start and finish?
The course officially kicks off on November 21st, 2022, and concludes on December 23rd, 2022. The live component of this course (private community and the form to submit questions) is for 5 weeks.
Will I be getting immediate access to all the content?
Once the course starts on November 21st, 2022, you’ll get access to two common Italian errors per day, Monday through Friday. If you get behind, don’t worry. Come back to the lessons when you have time!
Will Margherita be available to answer questions if I get stuck?
Yes, the highly-supportive private community is run by myself, Margherita, and I’ll be there to cheer you on, support you, give you feedback, and keep you accountable in this Italian language learning journey. I’m here for you and for all your questions!
I have a busy schedule… How much time will it take to go through the content?
This is a 5-week course, but you can take as much time as you need since you have lifetime access to the learning content. Allow yourself 10 minutes per day to review the errors, complete the quizzes, and interact with Margherita and other students in the private community.
Are you a native Italian speaker?
Yes, I was born and raised in Bergamo, Italy. My family is Italian and lives in Italy. I graduated with my Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from the University of Arizona. I have extensive experience in language teaching and learning, especially at the university level.
I don’t live in an English-speaking country, can I take this course?
Yes! You can take this course if you don’t live in an English-speaking country or if English is not your first language. But please take note: my teaching method focuses specifically on English to Italian and Italian to English… not other languages. So if you’re fluent and comfortable with English (regardless of your first language), this course will be a good fit.
