In this lesson, we learn the ten main uses of the preposition “su”. This preposition is often used together with definite articles, forming what we call “complex prepositions” in Italian.
The preposition “su” is mainly used to indicate location on a surface. For example: “Il bicchiere è sul tavolo”, in English: “The glass is on the table”.
Another common use is to make an estimate about time, age, prices, quantities, and measurements.
